Editorial Team, The Justice
Education Collective
The Justice is edited by the Education Collective — a team of first-generation graduates now settled abroad. Most of us are the first in our families to earn a degree; many grew up in Tamil Nadu's towns and villages, studied in Tamil-medium and government schools, and built our lives overseas through education alone.
We started this paper because we believe the news about our home should be written by people who carry it with them — not by distant wire desks. Our journalism stands in the Dravidian-progressive tradition of the original Justice (est. 1917): social justice, rationalism, labour rights, equality, and an uncompromising opposition to caste.
We report in English and Tamil, because our readers live in both languages. We hold power to account — whoever holds it — and we measure every government by what it delivers to the last citizen, in the spirit of Periyar and Anna.
The Collective works as a team; the byline you see — "The Justice news desk" — belongs to all of us.
